It is a great foam for helping to determine where a horse is placing undue pressure and for locating pressure points on the bottom of the foot. The primary usable pad thickness is the 1″ pad.  This foam is not designed to be used in the same manner as the other pad colors due to its softness.  While this foam is available in three thicknesses, the primary thicknesses used for diagnostics is either the 3/4 or 1, although, the other thicknesses do have some practical applications, though for a slightly shorter period of time than the two pound blue foam. This foam is great for vets and farriers to keep on hand in order to be able to examine or work on very sore footed horses.
Great pad for hoof care professionals to place under a sore hoof to work on the other hooves. The pad lasts extremely well using it over and over again this way. It makes life really easy for horses who need a little comfort by having a slipper with the grey pad in it so horses will not step off of it as the move around.
